Day Treatment, offered at Renaissance Behavioral Health, refers to outpatient mental health services provided to youth during the day, allowing them to return home in the evening. This program provides a more intensive array of therapeutic services than traditional outpatient services. However, Day Treatment enables youth to remain active in their homes and community, as it is not a residential program. In this way, youth can immediately apply and generalize the skills they learn each day while participating in treatment at the Renaissance Health Center in Las Vegas. Additionally, Day Treatment engages family members and other supportive individuals in the therapeutic process, significantly increasing the likelihood of continued efficacy upon completion of the program. The focus on these relationships is a key aspect of Renaissance Behavioral Medicine, ensuring holistic support for the youth's mental health journey.

Our Day Treatment Program is ideal for youth that are struggling to achieve gains in traditional therapeutic settings such as outpatient therapy. Our program is ideal for youth that are struggling in school, self-harming behaviors (without suicidal intent), behavioral concerns across a variety of settings, emotional and behavioral challenges, and struggling with a mental health disorder that is not improving yet does not require a residential or locked level of care.
While duration is based upon the individual need of the youth, our Day Treatment Programs generally last between 3-6 weeks. Participation is dependent upon clinical necessity. Program start times vary depending upon age and group placement.
Care transitions are coordinated by our in-house case management team. Step down transitional arrangements are facilitated prior to the end of the treatment program to ensure there are no gaps in service. The Clinical Team will work closely with the youth’s family/support team to ensure a seamless transition to traditional outpatient services.
Getting started is easy. Speak with your child’s primary care provider, psychiatrist, or current therapist to initiate the referral process. All referrals require a recent psychiatric evaluation completed within the last six months, a current CASII score, and the completion of the referral form.
